After an involuntary two-year hiatus, Corsair Tattoo Ink is back in business this 2-3rd July at Le Quai Saint-Malo, situated within the ramparts of the seaside city.

Thanks to the support of artists and fans alike, Corsair will be back for its fifth edition in 2022 with hundreds of exhibitors, including tattoo artists, piercers, clothing brands, musicians, and food stalls.

From the Middle Ages through to the 19th century, Saint-Malo was a hub for privateers, corsairs and buccaneers, and a crossroads for commercial and cultural exchanges – which is exactly why Kalil Moktar chose this town for a convention hosting the best tattoo artists from around the world!

Several of our awesome sponsored artists will be present for the weekend, including Alberto Escobar with his black and grey realism and Chicano tattoos, Egon Weissberger and Thomas Vincent for photorealistic black and grey work, and Gaby Castel, whose bright, colourful and neo-Japanese designs are sure to grab attention.

See the best of the best at the end of each day with the event’s competitions. The Saturday awards are focused on small tattoos, with prizes going to Small Colour pieces and Small Black and Grey work, along with Best of Day. Sunday will see prizes for the bigger pieces with Large Colour and Large Black and Grey accolades, as well as another Best of Day trophy.

There will also be the prestigious Golden Corsair award, honouring the single best piece of work over the weekend, and brand new for this year, a Best Marine Tattoo category for all body art with a maritime theme.

In its first year, nearly 3,000 people attended Corsair, and by the fourth year more than 5,000 people were coming. After two years without conventions, the team at Corsair Ink are expecting to break records this year!

Whether you’re going to explore some incredible tattoo artistry or are booking in to get some ink for yourself, you’re bound to have a blast at Corsair Tattoo Ink!
