Studio Highlight - Six Bullets Tattoo
Hidden behind a nondescript doorway at the intersection between Camden and Islington, Six Bullets Tattoo is one of the most well-respected tattoo studios thanks to its solid roster of skilled artists!
Owned and managed by husband and wife team Basia and Pawel Stroinski, the artistic gothic vibes of the studio are softened perfectly by the incredibly capable - yet incredibly fun - team of tattoo artists.
We spoke to Basia, co-owner, studio manager and glamorous hostess of Six Bullets Tattoo, about the special talents of her not-so-little team, their favourite tattoo supplies, and a little flavour of what to expect when you visit!

What's your name and what's your role at Six Bullets Tattoo?
Our names are Pawel and Basia, and we are both owners of the studio. Pawel is a tattoo artist, while Basia's role is as studio manager/front of the house. We have been together for 15 years and run a business together!
When Six Bullets opened and by who?
Six Bullets was opened in 2019 by both of us.
What artists work there currently and what styles do they specialise in?
Pawel Stroinski: Black and colour realism
Tom Farrow: Black and grey realism/dark horror
Ben Dunning: Blackwork realism
Adrian DeLargue: Blackwork
Laura Lenihan: Blackwork/geometric
Milan Boros: Black and grey realism
Chanelle Jasmin: Black and grey realism
Mauro Fanini: Blackwork/etching style
Nadine Dohr: Handpoke
Esmee Godfrey: Micro realism
Breno Ymura: Black and grey/eerie Japanese
Tom Petucco: Colour modern abstract
Flavia Marini: Dark blackwork
Jade Reeve: Blackwork
Angela Vacca (tattoo apprentice): Traditional
Do you feature any guest artists alongside the regular artists that make up the team at Six Bullets?
Yes, we do. We have quite a few guest artists visiting every year like the incredible Kelly Rico who became a great friend. Also, Rosie Dymond, and many others. The list would be too long.
Also we have formed a very close relationship with Jade Reeve and Flavia Marini who are now doing regular guest spots every month, they’ve become a huge part of the studio and we couldn't be happier.

How do you manage to keep the space organised and balanced when you have so many unique tattoo artists?
Nothing special regarding furniture to be honest! The standard cupboards, tattoo stations etc.
Our artists appreciate having spaces clean and neat, so they all look after their own areas.
What is the atmosphere and environment of the Six Bullets studio?
Very friendly, sociable and vibrant, with many different personalities! It's a completely safe and very accepting space. Also Ben Dunning is here, so take that however you will!
We are all very close here and that’s part of what makes this place so wonderful.
If your tattoo artists were superheroes, what would their powers be based on their tattooing skills?
Adrian would be the Flash as he is super fast at tattooing, Ben would create magic using small equipment (take that as you will) and Chanelle has the power to bring non-existent female characters to life!
What furniture and decorations do you have in Six Bullets?
We have a massive wooden cross with a skeleton called Larry that everyone loves. Wooden walls, high ceilings and exposed metal beams give an industrial feel.
We also have lots of real animal skulls, as well as our artists' artwork on the walls.
With such a thriving tattoo community in London, what sets your studio apart from others in the area?
The quality of our work, the unique team dynamic, good senses of humour, no ego, and taking our job very seriously!

What's the most unusual or unique tattoo request your tattoo artists have ever received?
To be honest we don't get many unusual tattoo requests here! It’s probably because we only have established artists here, so clients come for an artist’s specific style or themes.
Does the studio have any special promotion/themed days?
We don't really do many flash days or themed days actually!
What are the studio's go-to products from Killer Ink?
Everything! We only use Killer Ink supplies. You name it, we use it!
What aftercare advice and products do you have for clients?
Every artist has slightly different advice on how clients should look after their tattoos depending on their style of tattooing.
We use Hustle Butter products here as we're proudly sponsored by them, and we all know how amazing their products are!
Will the team be at any conventions this year?
We don't do many conventions together as a studio, as every artist has their favourite ones to attend. Many are abroad so it would be hard to just close the shop each month and go away!
However our artists do attend many, many tattoo conventions all over Europe like France, Germany, Brussels, and quite a few in the UK.

Many thanks to Basia for telling us all about this legendary studio! Find Six Bullets Tattoo on Facebook and Instagram to check out the work of all these incredible artists.
