A colour realism whizz with a trippy dash of surrealism sprinkled throughout her portfolio, Kirsten Pettitt is a top UK tattoo artist offering some of the best body art around.

Interested in body art since she was a teenager, Kirsten would draw designs for her brother to get tattooed when she was 16. However, studying art at college and undertaking a fine art degree at university would detour her from the tattooing world for the next 7 years.

When it became time to knuckle down and choose a career path, that burning desire to tattoo proved too strong for Kirsten to ignore, ultimately leading her to apply for an apprenticeship at local studio Vivid Ink under the tutelage of Jamie Lee Knott.

After a month, Jamie left to set up his own studio, Dark Horse Collective, with Kirsten joining him in Sutton Coldfield to continue her apprenticeship. Starting with simple black and grey work like roses and skulls, Kirsten soon found her love for colour realism after treating herself to the complete set of 60 Fusion Ink colours.

The next 5 years would see Kirsten blossom into a fully-fledged and exquisite tattoo artist, thanks in part to working with Jamie and Killer Ink sponsored artist Rich Harris, as well as taking in a host of guest spots in the UK and conventions around Europe.

In June of 2019, Kirsten left Dark Horse Collective and took a pew at The Church Tattoo in Redditch, near Birmingham, where she has continued to grow as a tattooist year on year into the incredible artist we know today.

Kirsten creates her eye-catching colour realism with a variety of tattoo supplies from Killer Ink, including Fusion Tattoo Ink, Stencil Stuff, and Inkjecta tattoo machines.
